An invitation in.

For years my creative surge has charged and pushed me forward. The urge to express is never satiated. Poems, art, long writing sessions, dance, song… all threads of the story of my commitment to discovery and becoming. The process never ends though chapters do close and with it, new ones present themselves to me.

Over the last two years, the creative process of Goodbye To The People I Used To Be has acted as meditation and mantra in action. I’ve written the phrase Goodbye To the People I Used to Be countless, endless times. Each time, it was an invitation to myself to let the past lie, to take the lessons with me and to step forward. The ending feels… complete.  And with that ending, I feel a beginning - much of it is still foggy but the beckoning is impossible to ignore. To process the fogginess, I’ve been working on a series which I’ve been calling: I am an ever-changing landscape. These pieces explore our ever-evolving nature. When we think we know, we actually have no idea. In this work, I dive into my relationship with spirit, with the natural world, with messages from the beyond. 

This show will include creative work from January 2024 to present. The result of two years of saying Goodbye.

This show is an invitation into the process. Intimate. Open. I want you to flip through my journals. To touch the pages that have held me. I want you to see the words I scrawl in the early morning sun. I want you to feel the messages I’ve received from spirit.

This show is a celebration of the process of becoming, of aging, and of discovering ourselves in layers. It’s a gift to me and to you as I honour turning 40 and enter into this new decade. Ready to say Hello to who I am Becoming.
